● Improsite MCP Connector
Everything you need to know about connecting Improsite to Claude AI. Can't find your answer? Contact us.
Getting started
The Improsite MCP Connector is an official integration between Improsite and Claude AI (by Anthropic). It allows you to manage your Improsite websites directly through a conversation with Claude — without opening the Improsite editor. You can update content, create pages, publish blog posts and more, just by asking Claude in plain language.
Connectors are available on Claude Pro, Team and Enterprise plans. They are not available on the free Claude plan. You can check your plan at claude.ai.
No. The connector works with all Improsite plans, including the free tier. You just need an active Improsite account. Create one for free here.
Follow these three steps:
That's it — the connector is now available in your Claude conversations.
After connecting, look for the connector icon in the chat input bar. Click it and enable Improsite for that conversation. Claude will then have access to your Improsite account.
Here are some examples of what you can ask:
"Change the hero headline on my homepage to 'Professional websites, built in minutes.'"
"Create a new page called 'FAQ' and add it to the navigation menu."
"Write a blog post about spring gardening tips and publish it."
"Show me all my websites and which ones aren't published yet."
"Hide the 'Old Promotions' page and create a new one called 'Summer Sale 2025'."
Yes. If your Improsite plan includes multiple websites, Claude can access and manage all of them. Just tell Claude which site you want to work on, for example: "Switch to my second website."
Troubleshooting
Make sure you have a Claude Pro, Team or Enterprise plan. Go to Settings → Connectors and search for "Improsite". If it still doesn't appear, try refreshing the page or clearing your browser cache.
Disconnect and reconnect the connector via Settings → Connectors. Make sure you are logged into the correct Improsite account before authorising. If the problem persists, try logging out of Improsite and back in before reconnecting.
First make sure the Improsite connector is enabled in your current conversation (look for the connector icon in the chat input bar). Then ask Claude to list your websites first: "Show me all my Improsite websites."
Changes are saved as a draft until you publish. Ask Claude to publish after making changes: "Publish my website." It may also take a minute for changes to propagate — try a hard refresh (Ctrl+Shift+R) in your browser.
You can restore a previous version of your website directly in the Improsite dashboard via Settings → Version history. Alternatively, ask Claude: "Undo the last change to my homepage."
OAuth tokens expire periodically for security reasons. Simply go to Settings → Connectors in Claude, disconnect Improsite and reconnect. This takes less than a minute.
Security & privacy
Yes. The connector uses OAuth 2.0 authentication — Claude never sees your Improsite password. All data is transmitted over HTTPS/TLS encryption. Only data you explicitly request in the conversation is accessed, and nothing is stored beyond the session.
Claude can access the websites and pages in your Improsite account — but only when you explicitly ask it to. Claude does not proactively read or scan your content. You stay in full control at all times.
You can disconnect at any time in two ways:
After disconnecting, Claude will no longer have access to your Improsite account.
